Pickleballs, Partnership, and a Community That Shows Up

Ball drop fundraiser 2026 -Sun City West, AZ

The 11th Annual Pickleball Ball Drop Fundraiser, held March 6 at Palm Ridge Pickleball Center in Sun City West, was one of those events.

Hosted by the Sun City West Pickleball Club and supported by local partners, the event raised $58,694.62 for seven Sun City West nonprofit organizations. That number matters. So does what it represents: a community showing up for the people and organizations that quietly keep it running.

This wasn’t just a spectacle with 3,000 numbered pickleballs, a fire truck, and a countdown from the crowd. It was a reminder of how much good can happen when people decide to participate in something bigger than themselves.

The Sun City West Pickleball Club itself includes nearly 2,000 members, and that kind of membership says something. It says this is a community that values connection, activity, and involvement. That spirit was on full display throughout the fundraiser.

The Impact Goes Far Beyond the Drop itself

Organizations like Helping Hands provide free medical equipment to thousands of residents each year. SCW PRIDES helps preserve and maintain the community while saving residents more than $1 million in taxes through volunteer service. When events like this succeed, those organizations are better equipped to keep doing the work that matters.

At Prime Wealth Advisors, we were proud to serve as the Title Sponsor of this year’s event.

Community support should be more than a logo on a banner. It should be a real commitment to the place where you live and work. We believe that strongly. Sun City West is a special community, and we are grateful to play a small part in supporting the organizations and volunteers who help make it that way.

There is also something worth appreciating in the consistency of this event. Eleven years in, it still brings people together. It still raises meaningful dollars. It still supports causes that directly affect everyday life in Sun City West. That kind of staying power does not happen by accident. It takes organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and participants who stay dedicated year after year.

We want to thank the Sun City West Pickleball Club, the volunteers, the Recreation Centers leadership, the participating nonprofits, and everyone who bought a ball, showed up, and contributed to the day.

A fundraiser like this is easy to describe in numbers.

Seven nonprofits.
$58,694.62 raised.
1 Community!

But the bigger story is the one behind the numbers: neighbors helping neighbors, and a community that understands the value of showing up.
